Educational Resource Development

I have a strong background in developing educational tools about the digital landscape to help children and youth navigate our rapidly evolving digital world. I am particularly excited about co-developing tools with young people themselves to help make them relevant and engaging, aligned with young people's interests and backgrounds.

Areas of Youth's Digitally Connected Lives

On the Youth and Media team, I helped co-lead the development of our team’s educational resource platform: the Digital Citizenship+ (Plus) Resource Platform (DCRP), home to over 100 open-access learning materials––such as learning activities, podcasts, and visualization––based on areas of life connected to the digital environment, from cyberbullying, to identity exploration, information literacy, and content creation. A subset of these tools has been translated into over 35 languages, and all tools have been co-designed with young people.

View the tools by clicking the image of the homepage below.

Please also see here a tutorial about how to use the resources on the platform.

As a former member of Boston College's Developmental Technologies Research Group, I helped build a coding curriculum for children ages 4-7, Coding as Another Language (CAL), that seeks to teach coding and literacy in playful, developmentally appropriate ways that enhance children’s socio-emotional skills.
